I just purchased a ssl from ev1server (rackshack) and tried installing the same I get the following error
"Attempting to verify your certificate.....
unable to load certificate
20178:error:0906D06CEM routinesEM_read_bio:no start line:pem_lib.c:632:Expecting: TRUSTED CERTIFICATE
Sorry the Certificate has a problem"
I know very well that neither evi1servers or geotrust dont provide support for SSL.
1. I have already tried installing a test ssl and it works fine ( so my server shud be supporting ssl)
2. I copied the Cert and key carefully and gave the dedicated ip for the website in the WHM. ( website has a dedicated ip)
But i get the above error, can anyone help me out, should i buy another ssl
First of all thanks for the quick reply, After i succesfully completed my order i got a email with my cert in it and also
"All support related requests must be escalated through Ev1Servers
through their online support interface. This would include installation, invalid CSR, re-issuance and any billing inquiries pertaining to your order"
But i have read in many thread ev1 doesnt support and this is the default message geotrust attaches in all reseller mails. So still unsure what to do
Hi Guys sorry about the late reply, sorry i live in a different timezone, i emailed ev1
"Thank you for your email. Unfortunately since we sell the Certificates at such a low price we do not offer Technical Support assistance. If you are an Ev1Servers customer however, you may submit a trouble ticket with a detailed explanation of your issue to our Technical support department and they will be able to assist you. If you are not an Ev1Servers customer, you will need to check with your hosting provider for support. We also offer a support Forum located here: http://forum.ev1servers.net/ Our other customers can be extremely helpful and offer excellent suggestions"
Thats their reply,
Thanks Mr Neal i have already sent you a PM.
If your certificate has trailing spaces after the BEGIN or END lines it will bomb with the error you see. Usually, the problem is that your browser created trailing spaces when you cut and pasted the certificate from the browser window into a text editor to create the certificate text file. Just remove the trailing spaces and now it will work fine.
