    Rib eye steaks

Today, in Toronto, Canada, it was 8 degrees celcius. That may not seem like a big deal to you big shots in Florida or even AussieLand, but it's huge for us Canucks. Normally, on March 1st, we'd be at 15 below zero and buried under 10 inches of fresh snow.

So it got me thinking, imagining, pining for summer. For hot, humid, unbearably cookin' days and nights.

Suddenly, I got an image in my head of a monstrous 26 oz. rib eye steak on the BBQ. A beer in one hand, a spatula in the other, it's a beautiful thing. [*sob*]

Oh, how I long for May, June, July, August.

[*...goes off to start preparing delectable marinades for the countless BBQ's this summer...*]

And over here its a god damn heat wave.

Its really hot, and its going to get worse up to the weekend.

the dust is all around... its nuts.
you would think that 3 showers a day are enough... but noooooo. 20mins after I get out, I'm sweating again.

snow? is that the white stuff from the sky they told me about? last time I actually saw snow in real life was 3years ago back in the US.

Don't look forward to mutch already. Over here (the Netherlands) it's usually about 15C celcius at this time of the year. Now for a few days in a row it's snowing and at night we're having temperatures of -10C celcius.

So if you count your stats and our stats together, we'll probably both gonne have the average again. (for us that means a rainy summer and sometimes terrible hot days caused by the humidity).

At least i can look at it from the bright side. Our insects are frosen to dead now, meaning no bugs bugging me this summer

    sure I do.
but the thing is the dust... if I turn it on, the dust starts to spread like crazy.

(probably because there is a mine 4miles away or so... the wind. oh boy.)

F-I-L-T-E-R-S. You can put them on your air intake system and you need not worry about the mines...

I have a cousin in the business. Can I send him over?

Of course, you'd have to pay for the airfare...

    Haha, I remember that thread.

Weather has been nice here in Houston, although it's rained for the past few days... still great (I love rain).

But yeah, a nice rib eye... had filet mignon myself yesterday.

I take it you never tailgated in your front lawn in the middle of winter? I haven't had one myself for a few years, but the last one we had, random people stopped in and asked if they went to get some beer if they could join. Before we knew it we had like 50 people in my front lawn crowded around 3 grills and a burning barrel getting trashed in 3 feet of snow...
