    Browser & Platform Testing

Do most people have a PC and a Mac to double check that sites look right in various browsers?

Anyone have any good links for in depth coverage of this annoying problem?

I am thinking of getting a PC at home, right now I have to design at home on Mac, then check and tweak on PC at work, it is sooooooooo annoying.

i have a pc, mac, crappy pc and crappy mac that i use for testing.

however, i usually just use BrowserCam for most testing because you can see it in many different OS's and browsers all at once.

it is probably a good website but I wouldn't want to pay "starting at a Buck a URL!" And it is an issue only when you create a website for designers, otherwise the percentage of Mac visitors is pretty low. Here's some stats from http://www.loversorfriends.com since Jan 1. It is a simple dating website, the stats are not 100% accurate but still you can make some conclusions. Hope it helps.

Those stats are VERY typical in my opinion.

Of course it would depend on the genre of the site, but those numbers seem average.
