Job Bidding

I've heard of some web sites where people can post what they are looking for and you as a web designer can bid on the project. Does anybody know any web site addresses for sites like these?

The problem with those sites are that the bidding is always undercut and EXTREMELY LOW.

There is also http://www.rentacoder.com/ but the projects there are even cheaper then http://www.elance.com

I seen a java programming job get sold for $10! Ouch! I would never touch something that low.

One that others might be interested in is http://www.smarterwork.com/

They DO NOT charge per bid, only if you win the bid. Then they take
10% of the bid and a 4% administration charge.

You must however take tests to qualify in each category you want to bid on.

But as said before there are very cheap bidders on this site and
any other you can think of.

Others to mention:

BullHorn - www.bullhorn.com
BizBuyer - www.bizbuyer.com
BuyerZone - www.buyerzone.com
Prosavvy - www.prosavvy.com
ZDNet IT RFP Center - http://zdnet.newmediary.com

I am sure there are others that neither I or anyone else has mentioned
but this will give you pleanty of places to look.

Regards,
Ray

Tests are not that dificult but if you are really not any good in the
field you cheated on, then I am sure it will show on any project you
do work on.

This in turn would cause your rating to go down and hurt you with
potential customers. Not to say you would do it, but your right I am sure there
are those who have.

Regards,
Ray

* freelance, bid, job site

A new one just opened on our server tonight and looks promising too.

No monthly costs, no sign-up costs, low commissions, 3% or $1.00 to webmasters, whichever is greater and 7% to programmers, or $9, whichever is greater. They DO NOT charge per bid, only if you win the bid.

They even give you $5.00 to sign up and pay you for other webmasters and programmers that sign-up through you. There are NO sign-up charges.
