    WHT Record

Burst.Net through it's aweful service, and enormous amounts of downtime, enabled us to create the most merged and most replied to thread WHT has ever seen. All in all it ended up consuming 79 pages, with 1,170 replies, and over 34, 237 views. The old record was 1,119 in the Dedicated Server Forum, and Moder thedavid quickly announced us as being the most merged thread around page 45 or so. Long live WHT, and Burst.Net's continuing problems.

Congratulations joshiee, as starting the longest thread WHT has ever seen, you have won a free box at Burst.Net. Too bad it doesn't work.

There were two threads in webhosting forum that didn't equal the length, but exceeded the number of viewers.

"Whats the best and worst webhost you've come accross?" and "Cyberwings in default" had views exceeding 95,000 and 38,000 respectively.
You'll get fewer complaints from over performing than from over promising.

We weren't after exceeding the amount of views, as this thread was only active for four(4) days. WHT's longest post, ever, in four days, now that is just amazing. The thing about it, is that the outage is back, as everyone figured, and the thread is closed, so we couldn't add on. We now have a new thread with over 250.

That's nothing. I've seen a smaller forum then this reach: 29,687 Replies abd 142,478 views.

1,485 pages long at 20 posts per page.

I would also like to note, that all of this was in under four days. We are also getting another thread merged with the current record holder, so it will grow even larger.

There were over 50 different threads about this, they had to be merged.

That supports my statement. It's no feat if a bunch of threads were merged.

This happened. During this outage, while this thread was at it's peak, was when the lastest record amount of WHT users were signed online, I believe over 1,000 members and guests were signed online at the same time.

Also for you guys to note...

When threads are merged in vbulletin, the 'views' for one of the threads gets removed. So if you merge two threads with 1000 views and 100 posts each, you'll end up with a thread that has 200 posts and 1000 views total.

So being that it was merged with threads from the dedicated forum as well as several in the network outages and updates, the 'views' is very skewed.
