    MS SQL and Access requirements

    Hi guys,

Ive been looking for a windows host with a good MS SQL price. My client is developing their database on Oracle and says they need MS SQL. They wont accept My SQL. Is there such a big difference between the two? I notice that their price difference is huge. Can someone recommend me a host that has a good priced MS SQL?

Also, I would like to know how my servers can support an Access database.

    Thank you

I have used both and, in the past for Windows accounts, w/ good results and both support MS SQL.

I use both MySQL and MS SQL for development and believe that there are significant differences between the two. However, I am not as familiar w/ MySQL and you will probably receive better information from others.

To access MS Access on your server, you should be able to either use an ODBC connection, or create a DSN-less connection to the dB in your code. I would recommend the DSN-less connection for speed, etc.

    Good luck w/ your search.
