just imagin, you have a problem or you need to do something on your server for your customer, but you don't have any linux expierience. You ask help on the Internet. Some one tells you what to do. How can you trust that answer? If he tell you to do rm -rf /etc. Will you run that command? I hope not.

Nickn, YES. At the moment, I'm working on my personal box to secure it. This is not updating the software, but it is some kernel extention.

If you want to be a server admin you can't just post on a message board and expect to get people handing their servers over to you. Even if its free people still want someone trustworthy with some references, experience, maybe even a spell checker.

I'm not going to make it like my job. I sit at my pc most of the time after school. If some one don't want to give me shell access to help, I will help via msn. I only need questions from customers of you guys.

Start with simple tech support first. Once you get some experience here, maybe you'll get a chance to move into higher level administration.
