of those listed server matrix is probably the best bet , burstnet/nocster has been having high packetloss , managed is fairly unproven.

cant say that managed.com have had any downtime recently (100.00% uptime since Feb 1st) (except for the odd person complaining, only to find its his/her server thats crashed and the DC is fine).

Id say EV1 or SM for ultra reliability on a bidget though

If your budget is that low, check out ServerMatrix's Celeron 1.7 package. Its $69/month if you can spare a $99 setup fee. Their uptime and support is terrific, you should give them a try.

You can't spend a measly $99 on presumably a server for your hosting business?

That doesn't sound like a particularly stable business.

You need to plan all upgrade stages from reseller > dedicated server > multiple servers and ensure that you have the financial aspect covered when you need to get to that stage. Ultimately, you shouldn't skimp on one of the core components of your business either. I fail to see how people can justify spending $50 on a server that will host their clients - it is the main frame of their business and should be invested in likewise.

Contact some servermatrix resellers, they can usually get you free setup plus a discount on the monthly price.... BVS on these boards is one of them.

why u askin him about how many clients he have while u should worry about yours. He is right... you need to at least spend like 150- around 3 or 400 to keep a stable business. now most good dedicated are like around 99 -150 . also another... it is unlikely for a web hostin company to ask other company how many clients he have just to make a statement. it is immature to ask that when that person just only giving you an answer to your problem. it really doesn't matter how many clients, only thing matter is that u give those clients you have now the best service u can give to them. You should really have a backup plan in case one of your server goes down.

this is what u should've done. buy server from burstnet and than buy a backup from ev1 so when one of your server goes down, other will pop up as a backup until the main server goes up.

i tried ev1servers.net ; they seem to have a very good network, fast on my end. their bandwidth limit is 500GB or either 700GB

managed; i tried them, unless u live on the West coast of US, you wouldn't have that much problem with connection. i chat with their rep once they said they are in the process of upgrading their network but haven't seen any improvement.

You might want to consider a VPS. Try dinix or servint.

The reason why Nocster is cheaper than ServerMatrix is because the quality of services, Nocster has great support, but they frequently have downtime, packet loss, every other week their is a thread regarding problems there. ServerMatrix has only had one case of entire downtime that I can recall in the past 6 months, and it was probably only 10-15 minutes.

Nocster has superior support, but ServerMatrix has a superior network

Dual Gigabit Ethernet (1000Mbps) fiber-optic connections to AboveNet and Global Crossing.
Right off their site, that answer your question?

I have already understood it, but whether it is not enough for Data Center? Has sent them some questions and I wait.

the AboveNet line has been rock solid for them tbh. One or two outages, but that was over a month ago now, 100% uptime during February.

They only have one line atm, but are expecting at least another 1000mbit line within the next couple of months. There were rumors of a 622mbit OC12 XO Communications line, however thse have not materialised as yet.

    Serviceability is necessary a constant.
I have sent some hours back to them the questions on their services, but the answer and have not received.
On Wednesday will open DC2 at EV1 - we shall see what there there will be offers.
Someone in general worked with managed.com?
