I did. But, I'm back again.

I'd rather it opened in a new window.
Had I known it was going to be placed where it is; I would have said redog's was the obvious choice.

Let me work on it a bit with Matt. I think it can be set to pull your username directly from the db and pop up in a new window (or embed into a WHT page). I successfully set this up with another db and it worked pretty well.

Chat server is going to be moved to a different server soon, so after that move, I'll get with Matt about all of this...

That really doesn't seem that hard, but you'd want to put the chat page on wht, so you can have a chat.php, that would use a gettemplate call to get a chat template that you would make via the vB Admin CP...

I think you would just add another parameter to the java applet call, but not sure, would have to check the digichat scripting....

But you could just have the chat.php require global.php or get the cookie from the user that would input the username....
