Forum for UK hosts and others

I have asked this question before, but i want to remention the point.

The UK market is different to the US market in terms of bandwidth costs, a UK company finds it difficult to compete with these $99 servers and $29 a year hosting packages therefore some form of UK specific or even NON US hosts forum would be appropriate

I was originally told that WHT wasn't really for advertising but it seems obvious lately that this is not true, with the increased sizes and persistance of its own adverts on each page.

As an international forum you must understand that we are not all from the US

I'm not sure if you want a forum or an entire new site? Thing is, that although UK co's might find it hard to compete (price wise), I don't think there is a need to have another forum because of this, nor are geographic based forum a good idea IMHO.

My point is, I'm sure many companies (from certain countries) would find it difficult to compete, but should we have a forum for all of them too or just UK, or ???

Hi,

I was looking more for a NON US section not neccessarily a UK only one, just something to distiguish between the two

I think you have a point. We are a US-based company but have customers in european countries, such as Belgium and France, and I studied their hosting market, it is very different from what we have here. On the other hand I have the feeling that this is mostly because these countries are not where we are today, Internet-wise. So, a rather interesting thing would be to see hosting companies from these countries start by using the 'Non-US' forum then move on to the regular forums once their country reach a certain level of Internet integration.
No offense here, I'm a European
