Would you please drop one or two explaining word why "com com doesn't personally appeal"? Frankly, I'm confused often about xxxco.com or xxxcom.com as I see "WorldCom.Com" and such have got hot for a time.
Thank you very much!

I work for a company called Amino Communications.
The amino. domains were all taken when this company first started looking into a "place on the web".
So our main domain name is aminocom.com
I'm used to it as are all of our customers.
However reading the e-mail address to people for the first time can be confusing.
You read out "aminocom" and then really quickly have to say "dot com" or else they assue amino.com which is nothing to do with us at all.
It was our best choice but if I had a choice I would have tried to avoid the "double com".

I suppose that brings up another point, which is what does the co/com stand for in the following domains...
xxxco.com or xxxcom.com
Does the co stand for company? And the com stand for communications?
I personally just don't care for the blah cahm dot cahm sound of a domain. Much like using the word dot in a domain (such as blahdot.com - blah dot dot cahm).

xxxco.com sounds much better to me than xxxcom.com which is a bit confusing as someone already said.
xxxcom.net sounds slightly better and is less confusing than xxxcom.com.
xxxco.co.uk for instance is another horrible one.
In simple terms don't repeat, it's confusing and ridiculous.
That's my opinion!

Hi
I personally would go for xxxco.com as xxxcom.com sounds a bit strange at first and xxxco.com is also shorter.
But it also depends on what type of company it is. If it is a communications company you might want to go for the xxxcom.com. But if your any company xxxco.com is better.

I'll just add that for a communications company I would pick xxxcomms.com rather than xxxcom.com.
xxxcom.com doesn't sound pro enough to me.
It could be ok with some sites which should have a funny name.
In that case I guess you could consider it catchy more than silly.
