What kind of internet/gaming cafe do you like?

Being the avid web users we are here I thought it'd be interesting to see who here visits internet cafes and what the opinion is of them?

More importantly, what did you miss / what would make your experience better / what kind of atmosphere would you expect/want from a place like this?

I appreciate all input.

None. I'd rather sit at home, reclined in the couch, with a frosty beer + ps2 + wife. Course, that's just me I stopped playing games on the pc long ago.

I do know gamers though.. One thing a lot of 'em like is when places like that 'sponsor' a clan and try to sell related stuffs when they do their parties, etc.

I wish there was a gaming cafe near me in Atlanta, so I wouldn't know. But I agree with thedavid, perhaps a step further. Perhaps a clan specifically from that lan center? Like the best players there form a clan and get sponsored?

Absolutely. Already have something like that in the works, best part of running an internet-based business is enough extra bandwidth to run game servers

I understand some people would rather stay at home. Personally my home system could outstrip anything I've ever seen at an internet cafe with a non-shared connection for my 4mbit hogging needs. The draw here would also have to be a stylish cafe and great place to lan, which leads into the atmosphere part of my question.

Oh, and location's not an issue.

If you don't mind me asking, where would this lan center/cafe be?

As I'm from Edmonton, Alberta that's where it'd be.
