Transfering accounts

Okay I am not a host, and I am trying to learn everything possible while I can. I got a few of my own domains I want to transfer from my one account to another Cpanel account.

Can someone give me the steps on how to do this? (To a diffrent business)

You need to have WHM access to be able to complete this, are you able to require this?

Also, try this site:
http://cpanel.net/docs.htm

Do this:

Login to the site you want to transfer.
Go to the generate full backup section (under backups).
Generate a full backup.
Download the backup to your local computer.
Create the site on the new server.
Login to the site on the new server using the IP address (http://IP-address:2082)
Go to the backup section.
Click on restore backup.

This does mainly the same thing as the automatic transfer function in cPanel and sometimes is more reliable.

Do a Home Backup !!! Trust me and follow beachtrader's instructions and it will move everything to the new server.

This is a different type of transfer, you do not need to create an account on the server, but need to change ownership back to the client.

If doing a cpanel "Home" transfer, database, alias, filter will have to be done seperately unlike the WHM transfer where everything gets transfered email, database, filter, alias, etc and no creation of domain is needed on the server, only change of ownership which the Host will need to changed back to the client's account/domain/reseller.

The WHM transfer is a more advanced transfer that the cpanel which is only for client's usage and the WHM is solely for the HOST usage.

Please note doing a "Full Backup" will cause problems if the client does not know how to do it properly.

May I know how to send the full back to server /home and then use whm to restore it?

In cpanel backup, there's only home directory restore. do I restore a full back and home directory backup by using it?
