Potential New Name...

Howdy All,
I've been running under "The Prime Host" banner since early 2001. But recently purchased http://hostreme.com .

Do you think it is a better name? I think it's catchy but there could be spelling issues and or confusion with hostream.com .

Your thoughts and replys are values.

Kind Regards,
Darrell

I'm leaning toward spelling issues

i'd say stick it out with TPH. hostreme.com is not very flowing off the tongue and will most likely lead to spelling mistakes as joshiee said.

The Prime Host is a much more memorable name, and much less likely to be confused with the million or so other host**** and ****host company names.

I'd stick with what you have.

Maybe you can make the "hostreme" into some kind of slogan.

I'm guessing both should be read as host-reme/host-ream, which gives me bad nightmares.

ho-stream/streme wouldn't be much better.

Yeah, I don't see "HOST stream" which I think is what you intended... I see host-ream or ho-stream. Neither very good.

You've worked hard to get your name out and obviously has a certain brand awareness. According to business theory, even though change usually is good, in your case you'll be losing all the effort invested. Plus, I like your current name. Stick with it.

Good luck.

I'd keep what you have now, as there is a clear spelling issue.

just an idea, since there's a spelling and confusion issue, perhaps the owner of hostream.com would be interested in buying it?

I was going for " hostreme " to combine "host" and "extreme". I think the name has potential, however I dont think it is a good idea to replace an established brand with it.

Perhaps a sub brand?

I agree with it as a sub brand, yes. Hosting to the extreme
