I value the views of the WHT frequenters, and would be interested in what you think to Integral Hosting's price scheme. We have spent time refining it, ensuring that the most expensive package offers the best value, etc.

Starter - 25mb webspace, 500mb bandwidth, £5.99/yr.

Leisure - 75mb webspace, 750mb bandwidth, £10.99/yr.

Home - 125mb webspace, 1.5gb bandwidth, £17.99/yr.

Business - 225mb webspace, 3gb bandwidth, £29.99/yr.

Corporate - 600mb webspace, 10gb bandwidth, £69.99/yr.

I can't help thinking however that they are on the cheap side. Bear in mind this is the UK hosting market, where hostings packages are considerably more pricey than over in the states. A number of people have commented that we are "too cheap", whilst other have said we represent "very good value".

They look about right for budget hosting IMO. However, to represent value, you also have to offer excellent support and reliable speeds and uptime. Without these, you will find that your clients will not stay with you long and you will gain a bad reputation. As long as you can cover all these within the charges, then you should be fine.

Also, you have to make sure the pricing is right for you. It seems a lot of hosts design their pricing around the cost of their servers. Its best to take into account any cc/PP/Nochex processing fee's and wages for employee's and server admins etc as well as the fact you need to make a comfortable profit, which isnt the easiest thing to do in todays saturated world of web hosting for a newbee...

Our site and system has been up around 4 months, we are also a registered limited company so we won't be disappearing anytime soon. We've got some major advertising coming up later on this month, both locally and nationally which will hopefully spur our growth. We're thinking about accepting monthly payments too, rather than a lump sum for the year.
