Anyone have any experience with resellermatrix.com or gemstream.com? These look really neat and I'm just wondering if it's deceiving or if they are failing to mention something.

A rep from Resellermatrix came in a month or two ago and left the forums with ads hanging from quite a few nooks and crannies. Any company who feels it has to place unsolicited ads around the forums while ignoring others' calls to stop is either doing badly, or just tarnishing their reputation further.
I believe Gemstream has had some reasonable reviews, but not straight off the top of my head can I remember the URLs - do a search or I'll try and dig up some info.

I haven't heard a single good thing about resellermatrix.com. The big thing that i've seen people complain about the most is support, or lack there of.

To put it differently
What I'm mainly wondering is, whether or not it's possible for these companies to legitimately offer plans at these prices. Have you guys seen the controlpanel that both of these sites use? Is this a controlpanel that comes from alabanza or vdi? I guess niether one can be that great if they are offering resellers with the best prices and no-one has any experience with them. I'm new to this and I happened across both of these companies at the same place (recellar.com). I haven't seen many sites with prices that compare to these companies.
On a related note. I buy an account from another company (who shall go nameless) that is set up differently than most of the reseller sites I see nowadays. This account gives me 150 megs of space (or more) that I can divide up into as many domains as I want (minimum of 1mb per domain). I have to pay a flat monthly fee which doesn't change no matter how many domains I have, and I have to pay a onetime setup fee for each domain. Are there any other sites out there that offer these types of plans, or any other "alternative methods" of reselling hosting?
Thanks
Beau

Hello,
Can you share the name of the company that offers plans like that? I have been searching for a reseller that does that and been unsuccessful so far. Actually 9netave used to do it but they have been bought out ... so my accounts are "legacy accounts" with the new company
thanks
David

Yes Chicken, their original name was Matrixcubed.net .
They say they have "evolved" into ResellerMatrix.
Their sales person explains ... http://www.recellar.com/Reviews/revi...TOKEN=85676605

Beau, the type of reselling you are talking about is called bulk space reselling. You can read more about the types of reselling at http://www.resellerinfo.com/types.html. Unfortunately I don't know anyone who offers these types of plans at this time.

I know at least one, but it isn't worth mentioning... if I can think of one worth mentioning, I'll let ya' know. The main reason hosts don't offer this is, what's in it for the host? Not all that much aside from your $20/mo account. Those one-time setup fees only covers so much.

Yes, resellermatrix is an Alabanza host, as we are. Pricing is very similar... yes, it can be done!

ResellerMatrix's web site gives the impression that they have developed the control panel! Supposedly it took them two years to develop it
