Has anybody else noticed excessive packet loss with nocster recently? I have a few servers with them, and up until recently they had been fine. Now, connections are slow, and ping tests from other networks show up to 20% packet loss.

That will NOT happen until the new fiber comes in.

That's the latest word on the issue, as of about 1 minute ago (posted on BurstNet's forums). Speeds are still great, but the packetloss is bad at times...

Wow, how many months will it take them to get the new fiber up ? Since we signed up one month ago we get heavy packet loss. It makes it very hard to work on the machine via ssh.
I moved from Rackshack to Nocster and I'm not sure I made the right choice :\

It hopefully won't take months - It's out of their hands right now, and in the hands of their fiber/transport company. I haven't had much difficulty working over SSH with the packetloss, but it's still annoying.

Hi Josh,
we use the server for voice over ip servers so the situation is very bad for us.
Do you know if it's possible to get any kind of refund ?

One of the two Nocster nameservers has been down since 5am today too. Priority 1 trouble ticket ignored so far.

I wouldn't be the one to talk about packetloss if I were you. You're offering servers on a 3Mbps Bonded T1 connection - If only a few of your customers use what you allow them to use, you'll have packetloss due to your own poor planning - I'd suggest that you stop trolling every Nocster thread to point out packetloss, especially due to the fact that you're a competitor (And I use that term loosely, as I wouldn't consider a basement-datacenter with 3Mbps Cogent T1 connectivity competition with any real datacenter).
Burst is not in control of this packetloss problem - It's happening on the fiber company's side, and they have no control over how fast the issue is resolved. Also, Nocster has more than 100Mbps fiber and connectivity - Get your facts straight before posting.

Situation resolved at 9:10pm EST - 16 hours downtime. They say it was only me the nameserver was broken for. I wonder how it knew it was me when I queried it from 4 remote locations with unique IPs?

Simply by looking at the activity on the server for the whole day and knowing what was done to it.
If you have more questions (I think I've explained everything)...You are more than welcome to e-mail me directly.
