Help...My Computer

Hi fellas,

I'm hoping someone can help me with the problem I'm facing.

I think my computer has some sort of software called "power scan"

I have AVG anti virus, spybot search & destroy and ran them both on several occasions.

I did get quite a bit of hits before, now I'm getting no traces of either.

But, the problem is still there.

Can not access control panel. Can not access my computer.
CPU usage is 100%.
My computer is basically a paper weight.

Can someone please help me?

Thanks

What operating system are you running? XP?
Are you logged in as administrator? Alternatively, as a regular user? Someone with administrator access could have locked you out of my computer or control panel.
What happens when you try to access my computer and control panel? What error do you recive?

Ok..

There's a virus call "lstbar" on my system.

AVG doesn't know how to remove it.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Did you try the Trend Micro online scan? Maybe it will remove it.

EDIT>After Research:

Ok, first off, it's called istbar, not Lstbar. You must've misread. It's also not a virus, but spyware.

for removal instructions. Hope this helps!
