HostABox.com sucks soooooo much. The servers are slow, and you will never get a reply from the help. I have been trying for 2 weeks to get my money back because of the 30 day thing. I haven't heard one word. NEVER use hostabox!

On a different note, I am thinking about going to CapableHost.com. What do you guys think? I think they are pretty good. Has anybody been hosted by them? I read a post saying that there was too much bandwidth, and too much space, for too little. I think their reseller plan looks pretty good though....Well, thanks, and I eagerly wait your reply!

Well said

I'll second that. I have an account I use for testing sites and the downtime with them is unreal. Their response to requests for help is non existant, not even courtesy responses. On the plus side you can save yourself a lot of trouble by walking away now.

Sorry to sound negative I really hate being that way but some people drive you to it.

If your listening "Hostabox" pleeeeaaaassssseee sort out the downtime issues. I'm not even asking for tech support. Just to be able to use what I've paid for!!! If you answered your emails we wouldn't have to post here.

Again, sorry for moaning. I'm looking for a new package now!!!!

I hope they come back up!

If any of you know more about the outage please email me

I'll let you know as soon as I find anthing out. PM me if you want with specifics. I'm not gonna let this rest its been going on too long. The people need to know who can deliver and who cant. They give good services a bad name.

Didn't notice the cp/whm upgrade, but why should that matter? These issues have been going on for a while.

It dosen't take too much effort to respond to emails or phone calls even if just to let people know whats going on. The worst position anyone can be in is to be in the dark with clients screaming down the phone. Sounds like you are there too!!

I'll agree about a good provider tho. Anyone got any suggestions?

The cpanel upgrade shouldnt matter.. Just noticed that it was done yesterday thats all and thought i'd mention it.

Im getting real worried now.. Its been down 4-5 hrs! And its midnight in England from what I can tell... Could be hours before its back up. Ive done whois searches on the domain names and none of the phone numbers get answered.

Just done a search on here to see if there was any info on Hostabox disappearing and found this thread.
I've been having intermittant problems over the last week (web browsers reporting host unreachable/e-mail bouncing/Tracert's saying Unable to resolve target system name) with my own site, though it came back during yesterday. Today it's gone again, as has Hostabox's own site.

I really hope this isn't another Cyberwings

Thanks for the update...

They haven't been down that often for me, but when they're down, they take a dive!!!

The last time for me was 4 or 5 months ago... I have somtimes suspected NAC for some of the tech problems.

What is NAC ? Does anyone know who hosts the hostabox servers? Maybe a phone call (to the company that stores the hostabox servers for hostabox) might help or maybe there support staff can reboot the servers or at least take a look!?

NAC = Net Access Corporation. It's a datacentre in New Jersey.

Through http://whois.sc/hostabox.com, it states that NAC is the owner of the IP block. Most probably, NAC houses the client servers of hostabox as well.

I doubt they'll do anything for you, as you are not a customer of theirs. You'll have to get hostabox to get anything done.
