HELP! My old host that doesn't exist is trying to bill my credit card!

It's an annual recurring bill! And this guy is trying to rip another $25 from mee. He already stole $25 from me last year by "disappearing" without refunds.

What do I do?
It's done through 2CheckOut.com

I don't want to lose another $25 USD! And I can't find his phone number again!

Anyone else had the evil Concrete Host as their service?

If you have the transaction number, go to 2checkout website and explain the situation there and have them work through it for you.

Here's the steps I would take:

1) Make all earnest attempts to contact your web host first. Since it appears traditional e-mails aren't working. Have you tried submitting a ticket through their support system? Also go to DNSStuff.com enter their domain under WHOIS Lookup (upper left) and click WHOIS. This should reveal their name, address and phone number.

2) If that fails, contact 2co directly. Isn't their phone number on your monthly debit/credit card statement?

3) If that fails, contact your credit card issuer and file a dispute IN WRITING.

Yeah i got his phone number. I don't think he ever moved, he lives in his mother's basement.

The only contact I have of him is AIM and his address and phone number. His hosting service died off in 2 months and I signed on for a year.

This is so not fun.

Anyways I pretty much have this under control. My current host is helping me through this.

You should get an email from 2checkout letting you know the charge is coming, and in that email is a link to request the payment/billing be stopped. Use it.

If your email address on file at 2checkout is invalid, then call them, they have a number. This isn't like doing a chargeback on the host, if 2checkout cancels and refunds your billing there's no $29 surcharge it's just canceled and refunded, as a host this doesn't bother me (much) and I'd much rather a customer just tell 2co to cancel them than to actually do a chargeback.

It was $25 for 6 months i think. I don't know. After a month of ****** service and deadbeat tech support I switched to Yupapa.

I couldn't get a refund out of him and i gave up after a few months of badgering.

And I've been with yupapa ever since with ZERO problems.

Yupapa Cant go wrong there

2Checkout will be able to help you, you can probably prove that the site no longer exists, you havent received any service and also have expressed that you dont wish to receive the service etc.

With that, you shouldnt have any worries

Support e-mails sent.

I talked to the guy too, but he was all talk and no action. If I lived closer to him, I would bring my angry posse and beat him down.

And yes.
Yupapa is the best host ever. Might seem like a crackhouse there with all the colours and graphics and in the forums, but i think i got used to it.

Did you know they have an almost 24/7 tech support?

Makes me wonder why I didn't sign up with them in the first place and end up in a mess with "concrete host".

Most likely it was setup in 2checkout as a recurring billing, and neither of you ever canceled the recurring aspect of it. Very possibly a simple oversight, but as people have pointed out it should be easy to get fixed.

$25 USD is still money.

That's a whole tank of gas for me, or exactly one week's worth of gas. Or 5 months of yupapa hosting! Or dinner for two!

I already lost $25 the first time, and I won't let another $25 slip by me. Total $50. It takes me 4 hours to make that amount back.

Money is still money. If you don't think $25 is alot, paypal me some of your money.

Yes I freak out easily . This boy should be thankful he lives so far away from me.
