Question

Dramsystem

I'm looking for peoples experience using this software with enoms api?

It looks quite goodfor just domain registrations. (I'm aware of other scripts like whoiscart and whmautopilot etc that can talk to enom api).

Is it worth me registering, is it as well set up as it looks, have you found it reliable? Was it easy and painless to mod to your own look?

Any comments appreciated.

The entire source is encoded so you can not customized the script.

It's pretty nice. I have some problems with it & how it was coded, but it works as advertised for the most part. It is almost completely encoded, so don't expect to be able to peek into the source to find out why your program isn't working

As a PHP programmer I can not work with encoded code, personally.

Thumbs up Customising

I'm not too bothered about code modding if it runs well out of the box so to speak, especially as I'm no good at php coding anyway.

All that would concern me is "branding" it.

Does its integration with enom truly extend to all of enoms extras and features then?

Drams is a great software the support and the staff are also brilliant. They listen to the customers, many of the features of the Drams plus was suggested by us and they were integrated (and still being done). If it can be done and you request it they will do it. You have to be patient though they are very busy, so although it is encrypted there is a chance of asking for things.

By the way, all this encryption is not their fault, all the pirates who steal the hard work of others for a quick profit have forced people like Drams and others to encrypt their software. I don't blame them do you?

Always

Its always the few abusers that wreck it for the many, always will be.

I'm definately looking at buying it, just trying to decide if plus is worth it for selling hosting via enom too (tempting to provide windows hosting), I'm already most of the way through building a hosting site with whmautopilot for linux hosting - I'd just like a separate domains site too.

I was planning to use whoiscart for just domains but just found out once bought it cant be moved and used for a different domain - a pretty shabby licence limitation if you ask me.

I think the whoiscart can be moved to a different domain by getting another licence.

DRAMS licence is also locked to your domain.

We are currently using DRAMS and it works great and will be setting up another site for whoiscart to see how it works.

If you have a small/limited budget then whoiscart is the way to go.

COST:
Whoiscart $35
Drams Standard: $95
Drams Plus: 149

buying

yes, you can buy another licence, my issue is with not being able to move the one you paid for already, but never mind, thats not really the issue of this thread, just a rant.

With dramsystem can you as a domain name owner of a resold enom domain name log in and manage it even if you didnt purchase it through the script on a particular site? If I get it I'll also have a separate hosting site where I hope to supply domains through my enom account also and it would be great to list the drams site as the place to go edit their domain info, with my branding and all

Is there an upgrade path? Say I get drams std now and want to move to plus later or a future version, is it possible?

Drams STD and Drams Plus is actually the same thing just that STD doesn't have the hosting part so upgrading should be very easy.

What you could do is get Drams Plus and just take out the hosting and when you want to offer hosting just add the links back in.
