Need to test Dathorns speed.

Hi all

I would like to test Dathorns speed. Can anyone provide a url for downloads or websites with them for me to test.

Asked for a url for testing but was not provided one and cant find any downloads in their forums.

Would like to compare it against my own website's http://www.lordhimura.com with MidPhase trying to decide who to go with.

Also is there a software that combines everything for reselling into 1 ie: management, support, billing etc? links??

Thanks all

Try a search for "dathorn" and look for those that include a URL in their profile.

>> Also is there a software that combines everything

Wrong area. Try here:

I need some explanation.

Most all seem happy by Dathorn except for certain things
1)their attitude to newbies
2)phpsuexec

WHATS this phpsuexec??? And why is it so EVIL

Also Any other reselleraccounts that offer the same options or more with same quality or better on same budget?

I am willing to spend about $55/month.

thanks

If you're so happy with Midphase, and they are as good as you say they are, why are you looking elsewhere?

You posted about 10-11 times about how Midphase is so far ahead of every provider, so stick with them.

In case there is something better

My responses based on MidPhase were from using their shared plan and techs supports etc. Feature wise they seem rich but Bandwidth might be an issue.

Thats why I said I would have taken probably citadelhost except they don't support streaming

So now trying to understand things like this phpsuexec thing and what it does etc?

Like i stated before turn off for me is only no newbie support and attitude spoken about.

So now i want to know if there are others out there as good or better. I was looking at HTTPme but too expensive for me Bluewho seems cheaper and better feature wise. But still comparison to MidPhase more expensive. So thats why Dathorn is still being considered MORE BANDWIDTH

Still Deciding

Nice ppl there , very good service and support. And the bandwidth is quite nice also.

If you still need a dathorn speed test file, here is a 1.2MB file.

This is located on their cpanel05 server at The Planet data center.

Here is another 5.8MB file which is hosted by ThrillHost.com at Burst.

I got 113kb/sec on that download, RossMAN. I tested if it was my connection and it wasn't.

Honestly, I don't know why you guys are getting such a low speed comparably. It's quite odd actually. Rossman's link is on a full 10Mbps port and at the time of these download attempts there may have been at max 300k/sec usage which leaves roughly 700k/sec still available to be used depending on conditions. I just tried Rossmans link (from Tulsa) and it was as fast as it should be: 1.21MB/sec downloaded in 1 sec. (my Qwest line here can get serveral MB/sec).

Just out of curiosity, try the following if you wouldn't mind:

http://69.56.171.51/wads.tar.gz (same server as Rossman's)
http://69.56.130.147/wads.tar.gz (different server - 10Mbps)
http://69.93.90.50/wads.tar.gz (yet another server - 100Mbps)

I was just able to pull 2.20MB/sec from the last link and max the ports out on the first 2. Mind you my location is over 300 miles from the servers on a seperate ISP. If there is indeed a problem, I would like to get it solved.
