David Hooke's dead

A sad day for Australian cricket. I have fond childhood memories of "Hooksey" batting. He had a great style and was a solid performer.

R.I.P, Hooksey.

I'm not into cricket, but being in sports I realize what the loss of a legend is like. Sorry to hear that.

Offtopic: that frog is fantastic!

Wow shocking way to go. One punch. People just need to chill out. If they only knew how quickly things can escalate now you have one person dead and the other guys life ruined over one punch over what I can only imagine is an alcohol related bar brawl over something stupid. People should just walk away instead of trying to prove how tough you are.

I don't know much about cricket living here in the U.S. but sounds like he was a legend in the sport. RIP.

R.I.P, Hooksey.
even though I have never seen him play I have heard good things about him and this sure is a really sad for Australian cricket. My thoughts go out to his family n friends.

does anyone know why the fight happened on the first place outside the pub?

Very very sad indeed. Tough to digest how in one moment we can loose a person, especially someone like David Hooke.

A sad time for Australian cricket amid the heated series with India.

My thoughts are with Hooke and his family. R.I.P.

Very sad news I can't even begin to imagine how his family, friends, fans and teammates are coping with such a senseless death.
