Paypal Credit Card Transactions

Hi,

Just a quick question about Paypal. At the moment im a regular user of paypal, but im looking to upgrade my account so I can accept credit cards from NON paypal members eg. I link to a pay form and my customers can fill in their credit card details and pay me without signing up to be a paypal member. Is this possible? If so, how do I go about it? Do I need to upgrade my paypal account to a business class?

With any Paypal payments, the payor must have a Paypal account. If they do not at the time of signup, Paypal will make/ask them to signup for one.

its not possible.

Once you upgrade to a business account and use the merchant tools, the customer presses a "Pay Now" button, they are then taken to the paypal website to enter their card details and ALSO sign up with paypal. There no way around it at this moment in time, although i have heard they are beta testing some form of this

Hi,

I don't mind if they signup to paypal as long as they can pay immediately rather than doing that whole authentication process I did when I first signed up.

I did the following: opened two paypal accounts.

The first, with my Brazilian international credit card and brazilian address, and upgraded into Business account. Unfortunately they do not operate with Brazilian bank accounts.

The second, with my US bank account and US "made-up" mailing address (it is a mail forwarder, www.lanboxusa.com). It is a personal account, does not accept CCs.

When I need to receive from customers over paypal, I ask them if they are funding with Paypal funds or Credit cards, in the first case I give the personal account so not to have the %age commission eaten; if they will rather pay by CC, then I use the business comissioned account, and later transfer these funds to the personal account and withdraw them to my US bankaccount. 5 days later I go to a Plus ATM here in Brazil and withdraw the money =)

Some corporate customers cannot work with PayPal. This case, we have CCAvenue for Indian customers, and Paysystems for elsewhere customers.

Like people have said it's not possible with PayPal, and when they register, if they add a bank account, they will probably have to wait until they're account has been confirmed.

I believe with PayPal, the spending limit is $750 before the user verifies themselves. This should be more than adequate for many online purchases.
