Does anyone know if there is a free virus protection program for the PC? And I don't mean free as in free trials.

The only free one I know of is AntiVir Personal Edition and I've only used it because it comes with a command line scanner that works great with my home mail server.

AVG is nice, i recommend it, also housecall by trend micro systems is nice for an online scanner if a virus disables yours.

I have a virus scanner, but almost never update it, i never get any viruses, because i'm careful
