2checkout questions

Hello,

I'm considering selling some of my designs and software online and for that i need to process credit cards (before i was only working on individual projects so i didn't need it until now). I can't use paypal because i live in country that paypal doesn't work with so I think i will go with 2checkout. I don't have any registered company and i live in Estonia (small country in eastern europe). Here are my questions:

1. I've seen that there are almost all countries in signup form at 2checkout. Are there any problems for signups from european countries?

2. Can i signup there without having any registered company (just entering domain name as company name)?

3. What documents should i have to signup and what documents will i have to fax to them?

sorry for grammar errors because of my bad english, but i think you get idea of what my questions are about...

Hey CyberAlien,
your English is ok, don't worry.

Answers:
1. As far as I know, not. I have seen many countries using 2co.
2. Yes, you can sign up as an individual.
3. You will need a credit card and that's it, if I remember correctly.
Latter on, you will need to verify your credit card and that's it.

They send money directly to your bank account (for a fee of $36+) and also by check to your address.
You will need to "earn" at lease $100 to be sent money.

You could also use iKobo instead of PayPal:
www.ikobo.com
They support almost every single country on earth..or so they brag about it...

hth

Unless they changed something quite recently they do not require a credit card to signup. They do take other methods of payment for the setup fee like cheque or money order. They also take payal for the setup fee.

Another third party processor is www.paysystems.com - check them out as well. You might be able to get a better deal than the 5.5% discount rate that 2CO advertises.

Thanks, but they did spam (i've seen threads with valid proofs of it) and i would never work with any company that sent spam. Only complete idiots would use spam to attract customers.

I signed up for 2co about 30 minutes ago. It was much easier than i expected. Everyone who replied - thanks for help.

I have signup to 2CO from Ukraine , no any problems.

But seem all payments from outside USA pass fraud department. They call by phone directly to customers. Some time I have buy one item paying via 2CO , they call me by phone. They spoke English.

They use some internet phone solution because there was digital specific noise.
