Hey everyone,
Just wondering who here watches Third Watch and saw the latest episode (Friday here, not sure elsewhere).
It was based on true events and would like a link/insight on the story it was based on. Can anyone help?
Thanks.

I saw it. Very intriguing show. I loved how there was no one around, save for the paramedics and the cops, and the one crazy guy. I searched on google, but didn't really come up with any results.
Problem is, without names or anything, it makes it increasingly hard. If you find something, be sure to let me know. I recall hearing about a story similar, but this was probably a couple years ago and I can't for the life of me remember the exact details.
Regards,
Waylon

Apparently it is a true story based on a case that Ed Bernero (creator of Third Watch) had 15 years ago when he was a beat cop in Chicago.
That's all I have found out....any help is appreciated.

Many, if not most, of their storylines (the police and FD storylines, don't know about the interpersonal ones ) are based in some way on real cases. Some very loosely.
Of all the police shows, Third Watch is the one with the most accurate "feel" to it... the first time I heard Bosco requesting backup and using the word "forthwith" to indicate that it was urgent, I knew they had someone around who knows the NYPD.

Yes, very true. However, there is one show that beats it, as far as feeling goes, a show called 10-8, which airs Sundays at 8pm on ABC. It's very realistic in regards to Southern California law enforcement, I speak from experience having been an Explorer before.

I love watching both Third Watch and 10-8. Missed the last episodes as I was away on holidays, but every other one I saw of either show has always been great...
