Opinion needed. Thinking of changing name from Weberz.com to...
Hi,
I would like some opinions.
I have two domains (amongst many, many others):
weberize.com
liquidhost.com
I had intially thought abour renaming Weberz to Weberize but have recently been thinking of changing it to LiquidHost.com
Any feedback/thoughts/ideas are welcome.
Have a great day!

weberize doesn't sound good at all.
liquidhost is good... but would confuse with liquidweb.
Here's an idea to get new names... search google for Marketing or Advertising Companies. They have some reall cool names.... other than that I look to Physics for names, physics has some nice words to use for a Co. name.

Thats a good thought. I had not thought about that.
I guess I could have everything aliased to one domain... most likely I would have it aliased to Weberize.com.
Thanks for your input!

I've actually visited your site a few months ago when I was looking for hosting, Tracy. I'll be honest: the name somewhat turned me off. It sounded too much like a 'kiddie' name.
For business use, I dislike urls that have phonetic spellings or even 'slang' spelling. Of course, I'm sure others will have different prejudices.

Thanks for your input and its a bummer that the name turned you off.
I am leaning towards weberize.com.
Thanks again for your input.

is there some reason to "hang on to" the weber theme?
domains are only $8, so that is small incentive to use one just
because it is already owned, IMO.
if you're thinking of changing, why not open up all name options,
and find one that you really like?

Here is what I am thinking.
Use Weberize.com for my company name.
Domains cost me 6.95 so that is not the issue... I own a couple of hundred of them.
I do own some other domains that I want to bring to life.
realcheapnames.com - domains
intratrust.com - ssl certificates
nocomonitor - system monitoring
liquidhost.com - web hosting
I think I will change my company name from Weberz to Weberize and market my hosting services under liquidhost.com
Again, thanks for all of your thoughts. I really appreciate it.
Tracy

Hi Tracy
I really think liquidhost.com is a superior name, but Liquidweb in the past has tried to prevent other companies from using the word "liquid" in their domain name.

It might not be worth the hassle of a lawsuit.

I am sorry but you can't own the word liquid just because it is associated with hosting.
You can trademark the word liquidweb but that would not include liquidhost.
My wife is an attorney as well as a part owner in a business that just went through this here in the great state of Tennessee so I am aware of what you can and can not consider a trademark.
