Urgent Email Problem - Please Help

Hello.

I have a domain I just switched to my server. On the old host, it had an MX change. I wanted to make that MX change on the new server BEFORE transferring the domain, and that's what I did.

However, after the transfer of domain was complete, all email was down.

When I email anyone at the domain, I get this:

<thename@thedomain.com>:
Sorry, I couldn't find a mail exchanger or IP address. (#5.4.4)

I just used a dig tool on the domain's MX, and got this:

kspinsurance.com. 14022 IN MX 10 208.176.211.210.thedomain.com.

It seems wrong because on the old host, the MX only pointed to an IP, and IP.thedomain.com.

Anyone know why it's pointing to this whole thing? I believe that's the problem, although I'm not sure.

Please help if you can, their business depends on email and they are getting swamped with calls at the moment.

Using cPanel and I edit the MX in WHM. Also anyone know after I edit MX, how long it takes to go through?

Hmm,Maybe your oputgoing mail server info has been messed up..

You do us POP email to send out right???? Make sure all the info is the same as it was BEFORE you made the switch (Outgoing SMTP server,etc......)

Good Luck!!

It's fixed. Needed a period after the IP in the MX record so that it didn't add the extra crap after the IP.

Thanks
