Hello, as I said about a week ago, I would be receiving my Managed.com server shortly.
Well I received it about four or five days ago, made a Half-Life server, doing a few websites, etc., and was very very pleased with it's speed, as I got a 94-108 ping from here in Virginia (the DC is in San Jose, California)
Well now it appears the entire SERVER is off-line!!! Does anybody have any news regarding managed.com's network being offline, or is it my server?

Yes, down
All my servers down, insane
Even helpdesk and their website is down

I have had a server with them for over 2 months and quite happy with it. This shall be the first downtime we've experienced with them. Hope it will be back soon.

I guess that the Outages forum would be more appropriate for this thread.
Managed.com seems to be down, getting
Unknown host www.managed.com when trying to make a traceroute.

yep, coming up to two months with a server with them too. this is the first downtime I have experienced with them.
[this should be in the Outages forum, mabe a mod could merge this thread with the one that exists in the correct forum]

It definitely appears to be a network problem, not specific to any one group of servers...
A tracepath from my DV2 server to my managed.com box looks like this:
root@h2 [~]# tracepath 66.79.168.70

2: 209.51.131.57 (209.51.131.57) 0.912ms

Resume: pmtu 1500
...and there it stops.
From my current internet connection (earthlink dialup - I'm offsite right now) it looks like this:
Tracing route to 66.79.168.70 over a maximum of 30 hops
1 * * * Request timed out.
2 153 ms 149 ms 159 ms 65.134.107.189
3 63.152.47.185 reports: Destination host unreachable.
Trace complete.
I hope they get it sorted out soon...

No one offers 100% uptime . . . .
High or low priced.
My server is down, but downtime is expected with all host.
So downtime is always expected no matter who you host with!
