    How messy is your desk?

I've noticed a trend. It seems that most geeks are complete slobs when it comes to keeping their desks clean.

Mine is horrible. Soda cans, empty pizza box, papers, sticky notes, candles, some dead flowers, floppies, a flashlight, Advil, salt shaker and on and on.

If you have a digitial camera, take a picture of your desk and post it here. Whoever has the most soda cans, or overall mess, (don't cheat!) on their desk wins.

Mine's sort of messy, but not dirty, it hasn't got empty cans or anything, my desk's actually too small to be messy

Mine is 'clean' at the moment with only a few items laying here and there. Usually it's paper or something I have things written on. I just did clean it a few days ago, I'm sure it will go back to being dirty pretty soon.

Normally I'd be there with ya Tina, and have a ultra messy desk.
(No empty pizza boxes or garbage though, unless from earlier *that* day and I just haven't had time to get up yet )

Unfortunately during the move I destroyed my big desk (cheapo corner desk) and now I'm stuck on some 'Student desk' which with only monitors and network devices is cluttered
    Regards,
    Eric

I don't really have garbage on my desk...just pizza box from last night and dead flowers that I just haven't gotten around to tossing.

Yeah, I had the corner desk...it was L shaped and started to come apart at the L. Now I'm on a smaller desk (1/2 for my 21" monitor, 1/2 for my mess). I think smaller is better...less room for the mess to get out of control.

Exactly, now at some point you're forced to clean to have some sort of space.

I can't work well if my desk is messy. Everything has to be very tidy and organized.

my work desk is fine .. not very organized, but not cluttered either ... but my home desk is a mess ..

I put anything and everything I take out of my pockets at the end of the day on my desk. It just keeps adding up .. from loose change everywhere to piles of paper tumbling down ..

Yes, I'm obsessive about keeping the office neat and tidy...to the point of being teased by staff about it. However, my desk at home (the one with the pizza box STILL sitting there) is just out of control.

I always have pop cans, and like old warppers for gum. Right now i've got a bunch of memory and .net cd's laying on it. In addition to old notes I never use.

I have a corner desk, with four computers: An E-machine, A BlueLight, and two IBM thinkpads Anybody else have such?

PS Thinking about selling a laptop soon on E-bay.
    Take care,

My desk would qualify for Fema aid!

Mine pretty much has what Arctickid posted, minus the smokes, but add 2 or 3 minature bus models sitting on the monitor, a phone, webcam (not used) and a spare batt for the lapper.
