Thanks guys. We probably won't do more than the usual stuff of what we're currently doing (helping others out), but as the forums grow I'm sure the workload will pick up and we'll expand our range as we go.

(then again, I earn enough from freelancing on web design/development and have enough cooped in the bank to keep me going for ages)

And I don't think post 13 is unlucky.... Around these forums anyway (though if anyone would like to beg to differ, please feel free to - I'm all ears). I believe with most people it's Post 1 - since it's usually a post crying for help, being robbed by another unscrupulous hosting company.

I hope these boards do grow. But unfortunately I have no immediate plans for pay-per-click program, we used to run one via an agency about 6 months ago, which was quite successfully but cost too much, hopefully I can reactivate this for a few months probably starting December or maybe November.

At the moment I'm not sure how this site is growing, but we are approaching 7gb for this month's usuage (nearly double what I predicted) and had a record peak a few days ago. Spread the word people!!!

Anyone got a tips for getting this into search engines? if anyone has any promotion/indexing software and could use it for this site I would be most grateful.

A place where you might like to start off is http://www.searchenginewatch.com - really useful place and I'm pretty sure you should have no problems getting the site and forums in.

I think SitePoint also has a dedicated search engine section in terms of articles and also forums worth checking out.
