RH7.3 or RH9?
I'm still using RH7.3, and I notice most of the people here are already using RH9.
Any advantage over RH7.3?

Ditto on all above comments. Considering it will be the end of life span for RH9 at the end of April, RHE is the only way to go at the moment.

Or Fedora... (not that I know much about it)
It's all about encapsulation.

Hi there,
There may be a better alternative (at least until you phase out your older servers). We're currently looking for a limited number of beta testers for our RH 7.3 and 9 continued support service.
We would be proactively providing updates for the Redhat 7.3 and 9 platforms for at least another 12 months (longer dependent on consumer interest).
Our service would be FULLY up2date compatible (ie. you actually use the same tools as you do now for updates) complete with a web-based interface. As it stands now we currently have almost all the required features completed (we are also adding additional "channels" for third party software installations, ala Plesk and Atomicrocketturtle.com's updates).
If you're interested in beta testing our product, please email me at stuart@serverpeak.com .
Kind Regards,
Stuart

we dont use up2date anyway - necessary updates only are applied on a test box before being certified.

Sticking with RH9 for now. Though we do have a few boxes still running 7.3. And in the process of wiping clean 7.1 and 7.2 boxes.
