Merry Christmas from Paysystems?
Something has gone terribly wrong with Amex payments through Paysystems.
1. Payments are being declined, with no notification being sent. Not all of them...but over the last week it seems to be all payments for a few particular days have been declined.
2. Some payments are being marked as captured, but for $0. Successful payment notifications are being sent, but:
---
Dear EDIT Group,
The transaction listed below has been successful on Dec 24 2003 1:47:09:720PM:
Order Type : Recurring Transaction
Total Charged : 0.00
---
3. The most annoying one...the client gets debited and receives notice that the payment was successful (for the right amount) but it doesn't go through due to banking errors and we'vebeen advised via a support ticket that a credit is then being sent to the client. That credit hasn't reached one of our clients in a week, and may not for 14 days as with any Paysystems refund, so we still need to charge the client once they've received their refund.
Time to attach Amex cards to our merchant facility I think.
It's worth checking back over Amex transactions you've had, as they may not be as successful as they first seem.

Yep, Paysystems is almost unusable at the moment. Never thought I'd ever say this but Paysystems are going downhill like a runaway locomotive.
We also experienced about 10 instances of $0 being captured. We are also experiencing declined transactions totally disappearing from the control panel as if PS are trying to cover a monumental nightmare. We have auditted back to October 1st and found 40 clients removed from recurring billing without notification. We can't go back further because the control panel says there were 0 declines for July, August and September which is highly unlikely.
Clients are getting billed but showing as declines.
Clients are getting declined after being years with us and all say there should be enough money in their accounts.
Plus many other things which are making Accounts life a misery at the moment.

Another problems exists with folks updating their card details, and the system telling them it has been done successfully, and the next payment failing because the card details haven't actually been changed.
They're really becoming a liability more than anything else now.

Glad I came across this thread. Just went and had a look at the last few days worth of history and we also have a very large number of "captured" "$0.00" transactions.
Time to move.

Generally I see Paul from PS posting here quite often.
Interested in hearing his side of story.
Thanks.

It couldn't be much different...unless we're all dreaming these problems.

No, you're not dreaming these problems. Having all those probs here too. Although I will give them some credit for whatever upgrades they did about a fortnight ago with the MCC. It's heaps faster and I haven't had an error page in that time.
Main issues for them to fix -
(1). Fix update cc expiry date/info at mypaysystems.com.
(2). Email notification sent for the recurring transactions removed.
We had 1 day 12/24/2003, where there were a heap of "0.00 USD capture" for American Express, Discover card and Diner's club cards. All Visa and Mastercard cards went through ok on that day. These issues seem limited to the 12/24/2003.

Anyone got a response from paysystems about the $0 captures on the 24th?
Should we do a manual billing or do they plan to fix the problem..

Not a word. We've sent off a request to add Amex to our merchant account instead.

Fastest way to get Paul/Paysystems to respond at WHT is by posting that you are unhappy with 2Checkout someplace, that will get you a PM here or a phone call by a sales rep pretty quick...
