Realwebhost.net review

I have been using these guys for a few months now, and cant seem to find a review on here... but I have had great experiences with them so they certainly deserve one!

I have had a number of hosts over the last 12 months, and had shocking experiences, my fault for going with hosts with very little history!

These guys appear to have been in business for a few years (I read 4 somewhere)... Their prices seemed very competitive so it was a good start

I had three main requirements, good connectivity, speedy 24/7 support and reasonable prices. I live in Australia and cannot afford to pay for Australian based hosting... so I needed a well connected US based host with good support, as most of mine comes in when you guys are sleeping!

They have excelled in all of the above, particularly the support. I have been kept informed at all times, and their uptime is great. Most of my support queries have been answered within the hour, sometimes within 10 minutes

They also have a great referals program... which if I knew a few more people that needed hosting would cut the cost down even more! I have already moved one of my very non-technical/picky friends to them, and they have had the same great experiences.

Just wanted to pass my good experiences on, as hosts like this are few and far between!

If anyone has any Q's feel free to PM me.

Cheers
Nick

Great to see you finally got someone. But the above statement don't seem correct:

At most 2 it seems

Just pointing out the facts.

Not sure which fact you are pointing out there... the fact that the domain has been registered less that 4 years doesnt mean anything really? If you do a search on my domain indigotechnical.com you will find that it too has only been registered for 2 years but I have been in business under a different identity for 5. I am also registering indigotechnical.com.au in the next few weeks, does that mean that I have then only been in business for a few weeks?

So you have done a quick whois, which anyone can do... but if your pointing out the facts, dig a little bit deeper than that.

Excuse me? Why did you even post that? What was the whole point? Why did you ruin a perfect review? With your nonsense.
"These guys appear to have been in business for a few years (I read 4 somewhere)... Their prices seemed very competitive so it was a good start " He didn't say that they were 4 years he said he read somewhere. Its not your place to state that they were not. Now look what you have got your self into spreading a useless comment!

I just pointed out publicly available information. The whole point was to save everyone else the time to research. Readers can decide for themselves what that means. He said he read it was 4, so I pointed out it's unlikely to be 4. I don't see myself getting into anything except into your even more useless comment I am not sure if it is your place to say it isn't anyone's place.

Cut the crap and let this good review be in a 'good thread'.

Back to the topic: ncobley, glad to hear that you have found a host in which you are highly satisfied with. Keep us informed.

What crap is there to cut, it's a good thread for now.
But, what happens if someone or somegroup comes along and posts a bad-review ? will you jump down there throats like you did 'Sprintserves' ?

Review

I had to re register, it would not accept me!!!

OK, I have two sites running on this host and both are running at 100% and have been since (1) transfer of my main site (last April) and (2) creation and setting up a site for an aquatics shop which I use (and run website for) in the early Summer (I think).

Joey, the gaffer, has been top of the pile with regards to support, help, problems, "doh"ism which is my word for "what the hell do I do Joey"!!! Providing I can continue to afford it, I will stay with Joey till the Cyberspacial Reaper catches me from behind!

If anyone reads this who does not have their site with realwebhost.com then I unreservedly recommend that they do it posthaste or even quickly

I gain nowt from this recommendation, the buggar still bills me!

Hello,

I have for more then 2 years now some accounts at Realwebhost.

And I'm very satisfied about it, great packages, great services etc. Just take a look on their site and try it, I'm sure you won't regret it.

Merry Christmas and a happy newyear.

Greetings,

Michel Voorn

I have been using Realwebhost for around 2+ years, I was with Site5 along time ago and switched.

I have a total of 5 site with them, from my old clients and old company and I will probably have 3 or 4 new ones in the new year. I have totally satisfied with their service, support and reliability.

Just pointing out the facts.
No offence but the registration date does not mean much. We started offering hosting in 2001, yet our domain was registered in 2000

Agreed. But the point was more about it being unlikely to be 4. In your case, it's different. It's later than the registration date which is logical. it's more unlikely to be the other way round where you are hosting longer than the registration date of the domain. It's possible, just more unlikely.
