New Design Concept

Hey, I just started this new design for my site. I am taking a simple, clean and professional approach with this one.

The bottom will be extended depending on the area needed. The navy box on the top with the writing will have a random quote in it.

My question now is, does it serve its purpose? Does it look professional?

Thank you for your responses. Yes the site is still imcomplete, I just posted a JPEG of what I have designed so far, the end result will have borders, etc.
