Ripped by Commision Junction (CJ)
Hi,
I had 33.68$ on my CJ account for about a year but I couldn't ask for check since the minimum payment for Israel (where I live) is 50$.
About a month ago I bough a vBulletin license through my CJ affiliate link (worth 32$) and was expecting to get a check.
But when I logged on to my account I saw my balance was decreased in 10$ to 55.68$.
I sent a support ticket and they replied and this was their response:
Quote:
Hello!
As stated in the Publisher Service Agreement, any Publisher Account which does not generate any revenue within a period of six consecutive months will be charged a Dormant Account Fee of either $10 or the account balance, whichever is less. If the account balance is zero and a Publisher Account has not generated any revenue within a period of six consecutive months, the account will be deactivated.
The Dormant Account Fee or balances less than $25 cannot be paid out. I suggest you change your minimum payment amount down to $25, as opposed to $50.
Regards,
Garrett

Anyway since I missed the payment date for November I sent a request for a check for December and this is the response I got this time:
Quote:
Hi Or,
If you run a performance report, you will see that you currently have $22.00 of commissions in your account, which were made in November. Unfortunately, due to inactivity, your account has been charged an inactivity fee for the remainder of the $55.68 balance. Information regarding this fee can be found in the Publisher Service Agreement found on the Commission Junction website. According to the Payment Information tab in your account, you have elected to receive a check only after a minimum of $50.00 is earned. The current $22.00 balance will be added to any commissions earned in the month of December. Should this amount reach your $50 minimum and the advertisers choose to "lock" the transactions, you will be paid on the 20th of January.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Thank you,
Lara

They charged me (again, same month) for all of my money for "inctivity".
What the hell is going on here?
