iKobo.com support appears to be non-existent!

iKobo.com support appears to be non-existent!

After getting a recommendation from a fellow WHT member, I decided to check out the iKobo.com merchant services last week.

(I had a question about their merchant fees as there is some confusion on their site regarding buyer (2%) fees. I wanted to ask them if that 2% is in addition to the merchant fees or included in the merchant fees.)

I looked every where on their site including the ‘contact’ page and could not even find their e-mail address.

So on Thursday I decided to send them message using the ‘email us’ field in their chat window. So far there is no reply at all. I even sent a follow up message, still no reply.

Btw, did I say there chat doesn’t appear to work either?

Does anyone have their direct email address or phone number?

Thanks.

Its now 5 days and still no response to my 2 emails from iKobo. I wonder if its a one man operation.

Does anyone here have any experience with them?

Thanks.

So Funny: Isn't it?

So Funny: iKobo.com sent me my question back and provided a link so that I can see the answer to my question. When you click the link it just take you to the FAQ with no answer to my question available anywhere at all.

Here is what they sent me back:
=============================
Dear Rick Kumar,

The support staff at iKobo, Inc. received the following request from you:

--------------------------------------------------
Question: Merchant Fees and Recurring payments related.

Details: Hello, As per your website, the US/UK/Canada based merchants pay 1.99% + 29 cents per transaction and other international merchants pay 2.99% + 29 cents fee per transaction.

* Your site says that buyer also pays 2% fee.

Q1: Is the buyer fee 'in addition' to the merchant fees? Does it mean that total fees for a sale are actually 'above merchant fees' PLUS 2% that buyer pays?

Q2: Do you support the recurring payments for memberships (subscriptions) based sites such as recurring every 1, 3, 6, and 12 months? Please advise if it is possible? If yes that what do we need to do to setup recurring payments? This is my 3rd email in this regard.

Please answer my questions as soon as possible.

Thanks.

Rick Kumar

Ugh - I have used Ikobo before and they were a horrible experience.

I faxed them documentation to get the limit increased - promised a callback in 24 hours, and am still waiting 5 days later.

So I called them up, and got routed to 5 different departments before I hit their voicemail. Lo and behold the voicemail was full.

argh.

Thumbs down

This is kind of funny you guys posted this.

I signed up with them to accept a 60$ international payment from my client, after i received the ikobo card I went down there and took about 50$ out. There is still 10$ in my account as we speak.

My account was suspended right off the bat, so I decided might as well send them the FAX. I then received a phone call when I was not home on my answering machine saying to call some guy back to verify it. I called back and left a message for 3 days and left one each day morning hours and night hours.

It's almost been a month (the client is expiring) I been contacting ikobo once every 2 days, no one answers the phone and no one answers the emails.

Needless to say there not a GREAT company, but I want to close my account, and I dont know where my money is going to go. I think they like locking accounts and stealing money, I think im going to file with the BBB on this.
