2Checkout Opinions

I'm interested in your opinions of 2checkout. I'm tempted to apply for an account with them. Last week I would have said NO WAY, but I just don't know now. I keep hearing good things and bad things. One minute they sound great, the next they sound horrible. I was a little scared about the reputation they have for getting a lot of DOS attacks, but I've read a few messages that they seem to be getting away from that. I was going to go with paysystems, but their communication is horrible, and I would like my checkout page to be customized to my own design. 2checkout offers this right?. So once and for all, is 2checkout a good place to go? Are you happy with them? How long have you been with them? Any complaints from your customers concerning them?.

Any comments about them, or similar companies are appreciated.

WE use 2checkout and have nothing but good things to say when they are up. There is the occasional techincal glitch but nothing that isn't fixed in a few minutes. The DDOS's seem to of calmed down a bit so thats ok.

Generally I would say give then a shot

8/10 from me

100% agree, in addition DoS attacks does NOT affect ordering process.

some delay in ticket response, but problems solved, have been using them for more than 7 months, all fine

Greetings,

When there is a problem - you can be sure that you will hear about it. One person with a bad experience will tell everyone that will listen & post it anywhere, everywhere. A person with a great experience will usually just just back & say he/she is happy with the services, keeping the thoughts.

The bigger the company with the more clients - you are going to hear about "problems" - no doubt about it.

Basically you need to look at the services that they offer. If those will suit your needs - go for it. Otherwise check around at a few other places to see what is offered at a few other places.

Greetings,
DoS attacks don't affect orders? Where were you when the ordering ability for ALL of 2CO was recently down for several days?

We still have a 2Checkout account but we no longer use it for taking orders, it has become too unreliable. We keep some recurring accounts active there but our confidence in their reliability is gone. They also have a serious problem keeping their clients informed as to what is going on. One update during 2 days of downtime is just not acceptable for us.

While a merchant account can cost a bit more it is more than worth it in the long run for more reasons that I can post here. However, if I had to choose between 2CheckOut and Paysystems I would choose 2Checkout hands down...
