Should I give out discount on...
Hello,
Well because I will have new servers on a new datacenter...should I give out low cost for the first month for them to test then after 1 month, charges back to normal?
or just charge them the normal and profit price?
Thanks

I would charge them the normal going rate in which you have. You may have a new server, but why change the prices? I don't see a problem with keeping the current prices if you are still gaining clients.

Depends...
When we moved last time, we did 99.9% of the work, and there was *no* downtime for the end-users. The only thing that they needed to do was update nameserver IP's. That said, we did end up giving a couple of them credits because of their distaste for moving.
Stay the course, and highlight why the move is a good one - what benefits they'll see in their service with the move.

LOL David, No said anything about moving.
I think you got wrong thread
To answer the original thread:
IMHO - NO you should test the server prior to putting live clients on it and keep the same (or raise if you need to) pricing.

Personally, I think the started could have specified if he will only have new clients on the new server or move old clients.
Other than that, I totally agree with Esr Tek. You should never put active clients on an un-tested server, one of the WORST things to do in this business imho.

As a sales tactic, possibly.
I would charge the normal going rate if I were you though to recoup my costs, however that's just my 2 cents.
