Could you all do me a favour?

Those of you who browse the Dedicated Server Offers forum will probably have noticed the server offers posted by dellpoint of Cronex.net

Basically various pentium packages on an unmetered 10Mbit connexion in estonia. for, at the lowest, 135 Euro/month.

I requested a file so i could do a speed test. I got speeds in the 140-160k/s range... which is the capped speed of my home DSL line.

I would like a few people with dedicated servers in the USA or other parts of the world to give it a test too, so I can get a better idea of the speeds to estonia.

Because the rep I talked to requested I not publicly share the link to the file you'll have to PM me to get the link.

Thanks very much. I'd really appreciate the help

Edit: I just realized I posted this in the wrong forum Please move it to wherever is appropriate. thanks

It's not great... I could get the same speed by leasing a T1 here in CA.

I'm getting even worse.... It did peak to ~140, but overall it's a slow pig. My house has more bandwidth.

I'm able to get better (I tried uncapped 10mbit university connection) and I was getting around 450k/s.

which is ok I guess, but I'm not going to go running out to get one of their servers.

Thanks for the test

hm
take a look at connection from USA -> EUROPE at all

connect in USA -> 46 32 47 208.185.0.234 so-1-0-0.cr2.lga1.us.mfnx.net
then goes to
EUROPE -> 140 141 156 64.125.31.181 so-6-0-0.cr2.lhr3.uk.above.net

yep, all from Italy, France, UK and othen European countries tell me that they have better speed to us than USA

they have ping to usa 110 minimum
to us 70 maximum

good luck
