If you don't state any rates on your website, how do we know you've taken off 20%?
Don't take it badly, just thought I'd point that out...

I dont post rates because every web site design is different. I dont charge by the hour on anything except programming such as asp etc which is $45/hr. Once I provide a quote for someone then I will subtract 20% off of that.

Well...

1. Ask quote and don't mention WHT.
2. Negotiate the best price.
3. Mention WHT when you think you got best price

But, again...

He can always quote 20% more just in case.

Ok well thanks guys. Is there no trust in the world huh? I said I would give 20% off and thats what I meant. Stop trying to come up with all these schemes of how I could really charge the same or break even.
Figure out something better to do than fill up my thread.

Why trash a perfectly good thread, by casting doubt on fusioncom's integrity?

Developing clients coupled with a good reputation is hard enough in this business - Just read some other threads.

fusioncom - Your offer seems perfectly reasonable, have faith ....

Eladesor.

I absolutely didn't intend to be mean or to flame or anything; I just thought pointing this out was fair.

You answered my question with your second post, and I agree with your point of view. I am now satisfied, and in now way doubt your integrity.

Sorry for not making this clear earlier, it might have avoided this thread getting off-topic.

fusioncom,

First of all, sorry about my prior post.
Seems that I should of gone home when I
was tired. I guess I goofed.

It's just that I got burned by designer
once because I didn't have per project
contract. The guy kept delayed the work
and added hours after hours :-(

We ended up going to court over it.
I won, but, it was terrible experience.
I guess it's kind of hard for me to trust
hourly rate after that.

But, still, I shouldn't of posted bad
remark.

Please accept my apology.

Sincerely,

Jonathan
