It would certainly be nice to have 10.7mb/s sustained...but I am content with my 600kb/s How fast do I really need to download?

Ha! I beat you!
(it actually went up to 16.7mb/s at one point which seems a bit inaccurate since I'm connect through a 100mbps LAN - and 16.7 is 133mbps, 12.7 is 101 - hmm)

Ive gotten 16.5MBps on a download before, lasted straight through out it for about 3 minutes.
