Question

osCommerce question

Hey. A friend asked me a question via email and I don't know for sure how to answer them. I'm planning on hosting their site on my server along with a couple of my own sites. Any help would be appreciated. Here's the eMail:

Sal, a few questions....
There's a PlugnPay module for osCommerce: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/...egory,1/page,7

Do you think I can use that so that I can stay with PlugnPay? Switching over to a new account with them will be easy for me, and I'm comfortable with the way things work with that gateway. Also, it may be possible for them to switch my database of customers over to my new account if I can stay with them.

Shop setups that look attractive to me (using osCommerce) follow. Does it look to you like these had a lot of programming changes? Or will I be able to find a template similar to the setup of any of these sites. I'm not very fond of the shopping cart pages that have columns of clutter down the left and right hand sides. Simple is best.

Thanks in advance...

Yes, those sites were modified *heavily* from the original oscommerce template - but it is indeed possible to do that. These ones you've illustrated here must have taken a long time to mod, but it's doable. That's one of the really nice things about oscommerce - it's very easy to change as it's modular in design.

As far as plug n pay - I don't know. Never used it with that payment processor before. However, oscommerce has some pretty good forums - here's a good starting point for that:
