According to Economics, nothing is FREE. If you download FREE software from the net, you must consider your ISP costs. If you dont have any ISP costs consider the TIME you spent downloading it. If someone gives you a present FREE, it took time to become friends. This was the first thing I learnt in Economics but I think its full of ****

LOL, yeah I remember taking some economics classes in college and thinking this stuff is such bull... it's like a mix between philosophy and tarot cards.

I'm in work now, so I'm getting paid to type this on a free discussion forum... so this minute has not been free, it's been profitable!!!!

I get FREE stuff all the time. In fact, I got two sticks of 256MB PC2100 DDR RAM from Office Depot and when it was all said and done, they paid ME $40 to take it.
I thank my Lord for all His wonderful blessings.

I love FREE (When the time is worth spending on it) But I think its more of a marketing gemic to get customers to buy/signup/try-out a product (e.g. including webhosting) to get them to buy more/upgrade or refer the product to other people. As far as webhosting goes, I see alot of people offering Unlimited this and Unlimited that. What a bunch of bull crap. Again, NOTHING is unlimited (not possible). Therefore nothing is FREE!

Also, this goes back to the whole 99.9% uptime thing. I bet 85% of the hosting companies vouch this when it’s not even close to 99.9%, oh, and 100% uptime? Yeah right, this is very hard to achieve and takes lots and lots of $$$$$$ and even if you did achieve 100% uptime there are still potential problems that could happen to make this NOT true.

I was about to say the same thing I remember taking Economics in high school and my text book literally started out exactly with this: that nothing is free because it always costs someone SOMETHING.
