Hi, i would like your opinion who is better to use for back ordering domains
http://www.snapnames.com/ (netsol)
or
http://www.pool.com/
please can you also tell which one is most likely to get the domain.
To be more precise, its a .net domain that i am hoping to back order.

my rate would go this way:
1- pool.com
2- snapnames.com
3- godaddy.com
although others do win some names.
enom would require 1 month subscription to be able to bid on expired names

NameWinner you can bid without paying upfront.
NameFox I blieve you can make an email offer.
TFN you can add it to the droplist and bid if they win (pool style).
DropWizard you bid before the drop (same as NW)
the others would require payment upfront.

Pool.com has yielded the best results for me - I've been in numerous auctions there and gotten a suprising number of the domains that I really wanted (and could afford!).
You only pay if you get the domain at pool - and it doesn't go into the auction process unless they have already obtained the domain - so you don't waste your time on a futile auction (like you often do at NameWinner).

my approach usually is godaddy if I don't see anyone wants it at snapnames. If there is, I'll jump to pool.
I have 5 snapbacks right now but that's it, I hate them and I hate their price.

namewinner really depend on the highest bid as they first try to get high bid names then the lower and lowest then 8.75 ones

I have used snapnames.com in past
I have used their service is 2000 when it was cheap and I neeeded a domain. Now learned the rules of game, and do it myself.I think I Should I start a similar service like snapnames.com and pool.com !
How big is this market any idea?
On topic
I think pool.com snapnames.com and godaddy.com all try the same way. So chances are not very different .(Even I try the same way.almost :-)).
It really depends how dear the name is for you. If you really want a name you should reserve it from all the snappers from the world that is almost impossible. But if you buy from more than one your chance increases. So now,are you thinking of using my service ?-)

snapnames,
I dont believe those were highly competed for. Any serious .com that is being competed for would require RRP access, which only registrars have. So unless you own a private registrar, you are definitely not competing on the same level.

I told you .almost:-). You are right I am not a ICANN registrar but some of the registrar do provide good access to main registry using using RRP:
. That is very competetive for most of the domains. Because, now names are not dropeed at any particular time (remember 6:30 Gold rush:-).So probabiliy of getting a good name (may be not best of the class) is still there.

Thanks for educating also, I didn't knew what protocol registrar follow. Rfc2832 THAT IS FOR RRP states:Good reading
---
The registry stores information about registered domain names and
associated name servers. A domain name's data includes its name, name
servers, registrar, registration expiration date, and status. A name
server's data includes its server name, IP addresses, and registrar.
A registrar MAY perform the following registration service procedures
using RRP:
- Determine if a domain name has been registered.
- Register a domain name.
- Renew the registration of a domain name.
- Cancel the registration of a domain name.
- Update the name servers of a domain name.
- Transfer a domain name from another registrar.
- Examine the status of domain names that the registrar has
registered.
- Modify the status of domain names that the registrar has
registered.
- Determine if a name server has been registered.
- Register a name server.
- Update the IP addresses of a name server.
- Delete a name server.
- Examine the status of name servers that the registrar has
registered.
All RRP commands include features to provide idempotency. That is,
the effect of each command is the same if the command is executed
once or if the command is executed multiple times. This property is
extremely useful in situations when a command is retried due to an
error condition that results in a missed command response and a
command retry is attempted. Command retries will be caught by the
System and rejected with an appropriate error response code. Command
parameters that do not provide idempotency will be explained fully as
part of the appropriate command description.
