The "friend" probably gave him a link to a Yahoo chat board where he found an anonymous designer who just happens to have the same address as he does....

It was for sale on Ebay.. Maybe they stole it from freetemplates? Maybe freetemplates bought it from ebay and put a fake copyright law on it?
