From my home connection (Rotterdam, the Netherlands) which is 16mbps it won't go over 250kb/s.

Both connections are 100mbps. I guess each one used a different bandwidth provider. Most likely one of these is just kinda slow.

Maintained 300kB/s using Rogers 3Mbit cable from Toronto.

That's slightly above average for my DL's and on almost as good as sites like Akamai

Is the Atlanta one in the GNAX/DV2 datacenter? That's where the server is located so that would explain the high speed if it is?
