Okay, I thought I knew quite a bit of messenger/sms shorthand. What does ffs mean?

ffs is the feeling I have ATM when as a machine will just not be stable

Why do people need to use acronyms? Can't they spell things out? When one laughs, can't they say "haha" or something?

My favorite one to see is when people say "l8er" - they're saving 1 keystroke and look like fools. When will the world learn.

Thats why they use "l8r" isntead of "l8er"

It might take a few seconds less for them to compose their message, but it ends up taking me considerably longer to read and understand what the heck they're talking about...
