How to beat low monthly transfer
I used briefcase.yahoo.com to store my downloads instead of my host, to avoid exceeding my designated monthly transfer. Did anyone tried this kind of solution before? or perhaps someone knows a better service? Yahoo gives you 30mb space for free per account.

Your host should provide you wish some kind of tool where you can look up your bandwidth usage.

Re: How to beat low monthly transfer
That's actually a pretty good idea. The only thing I would be worried about is whether you're violating the Yahoo! TOS. I don't know if they have a clause in their TOS that says you can't do something like that, but if they don't I'd say it's a viable solution to your low-data-transfer-allotment problem.

I'm suprised Yahoo don't have anti-leeching scripts in place to prevent this, though from the sound of it, it appears it's designed as a storehouse rather than the usual free webpage thing.
It's no wonder they keep circling the drain by allowing people to chew through their transfer with no return on the cost.

They do cap it. I've tried to go to sites with a link to briefcase and the reason it couldn't be downloaded was due to the account being exceeded for the day.

Thanks for alarming me, I didn't know Yahoo restrict transfer. There is no metion of it when you sign-up. I'll contact them, to know the limit, and let you know...
